Where product meets the lid
A PTFE-lined lid is a jar closure with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) contact surface on its inner liner. The liner faces the contents of the jar, giving a low-adhesion surface where concentrate may touch the lid.
This page covers the assembled lid: cap + PTFE contact liner already installed. If you only need the insert for caps you already stock, order discs instead—see the comparison below.
Package performance depends on the jar, cap, liner construction, and application torque together. We help define the configuration and confirm it through samples for your intended use. Packaging compliance stays with the buyer.
Assembled vs loose discs
This page is the finished closure. Loose discs are a different product for caps you already stock.
| PTFE-lined lids (this page) | PTFE liner discs | |
|---|---|---|
| What you get | Cap with PTFE contact liner installed | Loose die-cut discs only |
| Best for | Labs and brands that want a finished closure SKU | Teams that insert liners into caps they already stock |
| Fit path | Review jar + cap + liner as one assembly | Size disc to your existing cap’s ID and seat |

Do not treat jar capacity (7 ml / 9 ml) as a universal lid size. Neck finish and cap inner dimensions define fit.

Fit review
A 7 ml or 9 ml capacity does not identify a universal lid or liner diameter. Send the neck finish, cap drawing, or a physical sample so we can review the actual fit.
Seal performance depends on the complete jar-and-closure combination, liner construction, and application torque. Validate the assembled package against your own leakage and storage requirements—we do not claim airtight performance for a lid alone.
