Who orders custom glass jars

Custom glass jars are a repeat pack for brands and distributors in the US and Canada. Each order starts from the same brief: capacity, glass, lid and decoration, then a sample before production.

01

Concentrate brands

Rosin, live resin and other extract brands use a small glass jar when the product should be visible. A printed lid carries the name. The jar stays clear, or amber when the line calls for a darker glass.

02

Flower brands

Flower lines that pack in glass use a larger jar with the same lid and print approach. Capacity follows the fill you specify.

03

Distributors

Packaging distributors reorder one jar and lid spec across accounts. After you approve a sample, that spec stays on file so the next carton matches the first.

04

Processors

Labs that fill finished product in-house order jars as components and pair them with PTFE liners or PTFE-lined lids when the cap needs a non-stick contact face.

Where custom glass jars are used

Start with what goes in the jar, then choose glass, lid and print. A concentrate jar is a short shelf pack. A flower jar needs more volume. Both can share a lid color and a print style.

  • Retail concentrate packs. Clear borosilicate shows color and texture. Amber UV-protective glass is the choice when you want a darker jar. Approve the glass on a sample before the spec is locked.
  • Flower and pre-pack. A glass jar and matched lid for brands that want a rigid pack, with a printed lid or a label on the jar.
  • In-house filling. Processors order jars and lids as separate components and close them with the cap they already run.
  • Same shipment as sheets and liners. Add 4x4 PTFE sheets or 4x4 FEP sheets when the jar, the sheet and the cap should arrive together. That list is quoted through one-stop sourcing.

Tell us the fill you have in mind and whether the jar replaces a pack you already sell. If you have a current jar, send one. Fit is checked against that sample.

OEM and private-label jar options

Most branded programs start from an existing jar and lid, with your artwork on the lid. Print method, colors and pack format are confirmed on the quote.

Full-color UV printing on the lid is the decoration we quote most often. The jar surface can stay plain for a separate label. Send the logo, lid color and where the print should sit. We check placement on the sample you approve, then production follows that sample. Reorders use the same spec.

A practical brief includes:

  • Product and fill. Concentrate or flower, and the amount that has to fit.
  • Glass. Clear or UV-protective, and any jar you want us to match.
  • Lid. Metal or plastic, plus whether the lid is plain or printed. If a PTFE face is required, say so and send the cap.
  • Artwork and quantity. Print files, target carton count, and the ship-to address in the US or Canada.

MOQ and lead time come back with the quote. They move with capacity, glass and whether the lid is printed. Samples are available before production. For a printed lid, sample timing is confirmed with that quote, the same way we handle other decorated packs.

If the jar sits inside a wider line of bags and cartons, see custom packaging. If sheets or liners should carry the same brand, see OEM and private label.

Custom glass jar FAQ

What do you need to quote custom glass jars?

Send the fill size or capacity, clear or UV-protective glass, lid style, whether the lid is printed, the target quantity, and the delivery location in the US or Canada. If the jar must match a closure you already use, include the jar, the cap, or the neck finish.

Can I choose clear or UV-protective glass?

Yes. Clear borosilicate shows the color and texture of the product. Amber UV-protective glass is the option when you want a darker jar. The glass you approve on the sample is the glass used in production.

How does lid printing work?

Send the artwork and the lid color. We quote full-color UV printing on the lid. The jar body can stay plain so you can apply your own label. Print placement is checked on the sample before production.

Can the jar use a PTFE liner?

Yes. Order PTFE liner discs for a cap you already have, or a PTFE-lined lid if you want the liner installed. Send the cap or its dimensions so the liner can be matched before you order jars in bulk.

Are samples available before a jar production order?

Yes. Ask for a jar and lid sample before production. If the lid is printed, sample timing and whether the sample carries your artwork are confirmed with the quote.

What is the MOQ and lead time for custom glass jars?

MOQ and lead time are confirmed on the quote. They depend on capacity, glass, and whether the lid is plain or printed.

Can jars ship with sheets, liners and other packaging?

Yes. Custom glass jars, PTFE liners, PTFE-lined lids, 4x4 PTFE sheets and 4x4 FEP sheets can be quoted as one list and shipped together. See one-stop cannabis packaging.
